In an emergency the old land line phone system will continue to function and handsets can be purchased which do not require an electrical supply ( for example the Vtech- Trimstyle phone) . The new style ‘digital voice’ phones which require a broadband connection will not function and the Kennet Valley Parish Council is continuing to press for improved mobile signal coverage in the local area.
