Martin Bates

Martin and his wife Patricia retired and moved to West Overton in December 2019. He joined the Council late in 2020 and became Vice Chair in May 2021. He became Chair in July 2024.  He previously worked in banking and finance for over 30 years and ended a long and varied career with Toyota Financial Services as COO of TFS Ireland after establishing the company in 2017. For 20 years he served as a Trustee of the company pension scheme.
